Volunteering in Uganda

To come to Africa was my dream, and this EVS project helped me my dream to come true.

When I arrived here i saw a totally different environment, totally different culture, totally different people… totally different World. The Volunteering work took me out of my confortable zone so I had to adopt.

And Here I’m almost 6 months after this expirience i’m happy to share with you about my work. To be a part of the team of Soul-Xpressions Co. (Uganda) put me in the roll of facilitator, teacher, something that I never imagined. Exsept that I started work in PCCP (People’s Concern Children Project) one partner organization of mine Hosting organization.

I chose to make Ecological Classes I taught the kids about environment and recycling, it was a big challenge for me, but I learnt and abopted. Also our pupils showed us one center in the area that was using not educational methods to improve their skills and to give them a chance for better life that was Hope Center. We started making workshops in this center too, we were making Games with the Kids from the whole neighborhood. Its was hard and because of the number of the kids going there, we learnt a lot from the facilitators and teachers.

Thier we met Moses and Hope, The managers of this beautiful project and they helped us a lot not only with our work but also with adopting to the environment and the culture and we became friends. It’s a lot more to tell but for this you need to listen to our radio-podcast which is a part of our work here. So Listen to ART CAST RADIO or open our channel in YOUTUBE and enjoy!
